Morning guys!! βοΈ haven’t posted In a while. And I’m sorry for the negativity in my earlier posts. I apologize if I’ve affected anyone and I really didn’t mean to π
Anyway something just struck me and I thought I would like to share about smth that many of us would be able to relate to.
Ed is like a devil living in your head, it controls you to a huge extent and affects you adversely in manyyyyy ways, whether is it physically, mentally, emotionally or your relationships. And it’s smth that we seemingly HAVE to battle day in day out. We constantly try to “challenge” the thoughts, “challenge” the devil, “challenge” the fears etc etc. but how often do we find ourselves only falling back again or having to compromise with something else??
For eg, you say you’ve “challenged” this particular ‘fear food’ or stepped out of your ‘comfort zone’ but do you find yourself perhaps compromising on some other meals in the day? Or in the week? Or even purging it out or trying to ‘work out’ so that you “deserve” to eat??? π΅π΅ I’m sure that’s smth many can relate to. And this is none other than simply falling back into Ed’s trap, succumbing to the devil, failing to successfully fight the battle. π
No I’m not saying that you aren’t putting in effort, I’m not discounting your attempt to “challenge” yourself. But it’s like- let me give an analogy:
Imagine you’re fighting a war with another country and your enemy says “okay I’ll sign this paper that says you’ve won the war but everything of yours still comes to me” and you readily agree- only to find yourself only having a useless piece of paper stating that you’ve won, but all your assets GONE.ππ±
Yeah so it’s like even though you constantly try to, attempt to fight this endless battle, you find yourself always failing to avoid the devil?!πΊ
But God wants us to know that as children of God, He will always fight the battle FOR us, He just wants us to rest in Him. And the only race we should fight for, is the race of faith.πͺπ
No I’m not saying you don’t do anything and just keep giving in to the thoughts and expect a miracle to happen. β it’s about FULLY RESTING in God’s presence, His love, His grace, and knowing that whatever thoughts which come your way, you don’t have to worry about failing the battle, Cuz God has alr fought it FOR you.πβ€οΈ and you just need to acknowledge that your own human efforts will never be sufficient to counter that devil, but God is almighty, His strength will bring us through the battles VICTORIOUS πͺπ
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: βFor Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.β Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35-39 NKJV)
Have a blessed weekend aheadπβ€οΈ
